Default Rear View Mirror Loose

First post here. . .Took my new to me 06 S55 to the Dealer yesterday, and among other items, asked them to look at my rear view mirror. It's loose, and won't stay in place. I assumed there was an easy way to simply tighten it up. Wrong. . .they say it can't be done, and the only solution is a new mirror at a cost of $1250 . Surely that can't be correct??? Anyone else have this happen? I'm inclined to fold up a piece of paper and jam it up between the mirror ball and socket and see if that works.

Bought a foam wax pad from dollar store. It’s about 1” thick - cut it and stuffed above mirror between mirror and roof of car. Works perfectly! Mirror doesn’t move even going over RR Tracks or in hot weather anymore. Amazingly simple fix and cheap. Try to find foam that matches your interior color and you don’t even notice it.

Default Mercedes-Benz C200d nox sensor problem

In 2015, I purchased a brand new Mercedes-Benz C200d. A nox sensor problemoccurred 6 months after purchase, and the same problem has occurred 5 times in 7 years. All of them were repairedunder warranty by the warranty service. However, the same issue recently arose, this time involving the catalytic converter, and because the warranty had expired, they charged me 17900 TL for the repair. I attempted to contactcustomer service in both Germany and Turkey, but neither responded. What a pity for such a reputable company as Mercedes. I am seeking compensation.
