Hi,
I have a S320 CDI which from 10 months old has been producing excess oil in the sump. First sign was engine reving to limits.
Investigation found thick sludge in sump, 5 engine parts replaced including Manifold, Oil diffuser & air mass sensor which also had engine oil in it.
I am waiting (again) for Mercedes to reply to me as to their next step
Has any body any ideas as to why this is occuring Chris

 

Oil been checked for contaminants none found. The car was found to have excessive carbon on inlet manifold which was replaced This still don,t explain how oil can get into the air mass sensor. As for Mercedes it took two letters to the managing director for them to look at the car.
