Default Seat not rising

Just recently i have been having a problem with the passenger seat. It will not lift when trying to gain access the the rear seat. When the handel is pulled the back of the seat comes forward, but not rise. All the power seat functions seem to work. Any thoughts?

Default RE: Seat not rising

I'm a new Benz owner (bought my first about 2 weeks ago). I did experience the same this weekend with my CLK and I noticed that it might be related to the seat position. I have my seats lowered all the way down and when I changed the seat position, I did notice that it would lift again. So, my assumption is that it's directly related to the seat position settings and you might want to play with the settings and see what setting and at what level causes it to stop. Hopefully that helps, I'm trying to figure it out also and if anything that I come up with that makes sense, I'll re-post. But I really think it's simply not lowering the seats all the way down. Good luck and please post your experience.

Thanks. This afternoon i tried playing with the postion of the seat more and was able to get it to work. it seemed to be dependant on height (higher the better) and being further back.
