Had my clk55 up to 145 mph last night! just thought everybody should know...not really a big deal but i was pretty pleased with how solid it was! would have topped it out but a damn jeep got in my way. local cop wants to race me in his hemi charger...he is scared of the ZO6 but he said my little german car is no match for his all american musclei just smiled an said yea your prob right...

 

What CLK is it? CLK 55 AMG orCLK 63 AMG? The cop wants to race you? LOL thata funny. What year charger is it? Is it an SRT/8? The ones with Hemi that are not the SRT/8 are nothig too impressive as far as performance goes. Reason I say that is because a friend of mine who has Supercharged Buick beat one.

 

I have a 55...i was surprised to find that the 63 is only a half a second faster in the 0 to 60. He has a RT the 5.7 hemi wich does it in just under 6 seconds where mine will do it in 5. The SRT would be a great match up i think....its has the 6.1 with 425 hp but much heavier than mine. I would love to have a Grand Cherokee SRT8.....soon! Does your friend have a Riviera....dont like Buick but those a bad ***!

 

Yes he does a 1963 and it beat a charger(NOT AN SRT8). A lady friend of mine has an SRT-8 but got rod of it for a new Escalade. BIG MISTAKE. You should have no problem taking yours friends Hemi RT. I also think that the 63 AMG is only a half a second faster becasue of the increase in weight.

 

hi guys, just have to say that you are very wrong with saying the clk63 is only half a second faster, I know because I own a clk63 Coupe. and a friend of mine has the 55, and my 63 eats it. I have timed my 63 and best time 0 - 100klm (62 mph) 4.1 seconds.
The biggest problem is the traction control really struggles to stop the tires from lighting up

 

Do you have the Black Series 63 AMG?

 

Sorry but I am very right...the clk63 is 0 to 60 in 4.5 sec...the clk63 Black Series however is 4.1 sec...although i love the Black Series and i do mean LOVE..... i still think that it should be in the high threes..... my friends E63 WAGON has more hp and is only .2 seconds slower....she could chip it throw the kids in the back and beat you to the soccer game for sure...i just think it should have some where in the 520 hp rang....
