The Autobahn Ready Performance

The Autobahn Ready Performance
The 1989-1991 MBZ 560SEL, from the sources, tells me that the top speed of these things are 150mph.
The published offical top speed from Daimler-Benz (Prior the merger of course.) is 150 mph.
I think that it can reach 150 mph, but has any speed demon in here had the opportunity to test that theory? If not, don't worry, I will test it when I get my car here to Germany in the next month. On the Autobahn. Just wondering has anyone one else pushed the 560SEL to the limit before yet.
Then, if this thing can go 150 mph, back in 1989, then why are the new big ones are being governed to speeds like 130s and 155 for the most powerful ones, some more than twice as powerful than the 560?
