Default ABS/ARS

The ABS/ARS warning lights are lit on my 1994 S500 and i have heard some horror stories with excessive cost involved to solve the problem. Also will this fault make my accelerator pedal stiffer or harder to push? I was told that I do not have the limp home mode but I have noticed that the accel pedal is stiffer than on my other vehicles that are nonMercedes, but the power does not seem to be limited.

When i purchased the car it indicates itwas manufactured 7/95 (inside the drivers door jam), but when i explained to someone that i have an led dtc flasher under my hood they said that dtc flasher was discontinued in 94 and they also said that my car is really a 1994 since it was made 7/95 and it would be a 1995if it was made in 8/95. This did not make much sense to me so is this accurate info?

The california 1995 has the dtc flasher? So what you are saying is that my car could be a 1995 (california model)?
