Hi there,
I was hoping that someone familiar with the MB 722 xmsn could lead me in the right direction on this one.
1-xmsn operates normally until ahard mash of the pedal kicks down the tranny and seems to go "too far" and the tach pings off redline.
2-alsoWOT off the start.--call pulls hard off the line but WILL NOT UP SHIFT from first without letting off the pedal. and again will take itself to redline

I am just guessing here but suspect
-kickdown solenoid?
-vaccum modulator?
-accelerator switch?

I am still working the bugs out of my new ride and getting to know and love Mercedes-Benz.
I did try adjusting the mech linkage which attaches to the kickdown cable. this did change the shifting a bit but did not eliminate the problem. which leads me to think it may be an electrical component failure. but again i am speculating.

Any input on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
