Default 380SE 1884 Transmission Slipping / Non Normal Behaviour

Hello to all, I am the happy proud owner of a Mercedes 380SE 1984 Model. About6 months ago I started to get "weird" Automatic Transmission problems. I would be driving along at speeds between 60km & 100km/hr when suddenly the gear box would change back from 4th to 3rd - the evidence being a very audiblesound to confirm it; whilst driving, that it had actually dropped back a gear, becausethe Rev's would increase. Some-times it now slips whenchanging between 2nd to3rd or from 3rdto 4th or then when in 4th it will slip or "spin" the engine revs up.Or when accelerating away from a standing start the Transmission will "stick" in 2nd or 3rd gear (if it gets that far) & NOT change all the way up into 4th.I havechecked the Auto fluid level & infact had the Automatic Tranmission filter replaced & new Transmission fluid (at the correct level) added to see if itthat would help; but alas it is still doing it. Some times for days on end it performs normaly, then suddenly starts to "slip" & the gears "jump" back to a lower level again - with the revs increasing at any accelerator application. I have noticed that maybe it happens after at least 20 mins of driving; giving the gear box enough time to heat up. Is it a "heat" problem; I don;t know? Could someone pls help or advise. T.y. Gary
