Default 1993 400SEL Radio Issue.

Hi all I just bought a 400SEL 1993. the radio says wait, I understand that you have to remove the battery. When you do this, how long must you wait before re-connecting the battery? Will the alarm go off as well when you re-connect?

Thanks

I guess no one reads forums anymore, however, I had to figure it out myself. Anyways.. When the factory radio reads "WAIT" thus I read in other forums that it is because of the wrong code. now I had the problem where it would not reset to "code" the soultion is simple, the radio has to be on for 24hrs, NOW it doesnt have to be on constant so dont think you have to leave it on 24 hrs and if you start the car it will reset or something, as it wont. The radio needs 24hrs of ONTIME, so if you use your car and its your only source of transport, not to worry, just keep it on everytime you use the car and when it 24hrs it will display CODE. I learnt that. I obviously wont leave the keys in the ignition for 24hr. not in southern california... gone in 10 seconds....
Have a nice day and i hope this helps anyone who faced the stress I did.
