I have been gathering info on changing the oil and it feels like it is going to be harder than and oil change should be.

Can you guys give me info on changing the oil? what oil to use (mobil 1) where to get filters

And is there something that I should do first? Like modifications, upgrades, recalls....

Hi Steve,

I have gone through the same process of trying to change the oil myself. I have come to the conclusion that the 125.00 dollars they charge is not such a bad deal. If you google oil change for the MB there is a device you can purchase to syphion the oil out versus the drain plug in the oil pan. There are step by step directions to accomplish this task. Hope this helps.

I got mobil 1 0W40 and a fram filter from Kregan auto. I sucked the oil out. That took a while. The fram oil filter gave me o-rings and I couldn't find what the small o-ring went to.

I got 8.5 quarts in.

Is there an online workshop manual and or service time line that explains all the ABCDE----
