The best is OEM A004 159 19 03 26 : Bosch Platin #7422 or 0 241 229 704 MB stamped:
F8DPER, F8DPP332, F8DPP33 or FR8DPP33 and they are easy to recognize with blue color letering. I would also trust BERU brand plugs made in Germany.
Remove air intake tube and all ignition coils and use good branded 5/8 spark plug swivel socket with torque wrench plus 17mm offset open end wrench to remove (pry off) wire connectors from spark plugs.

I've been doing a lot of searching and reading, as I am contemplating an ML purchase. One of the things I keep running across is not to use the platinum plugs. Also, changing the wires themselves was recommended.
I've also determined that a good deal of knuckle skin can be lost in the process of getting to all the plugs. Some talked about using a 1/4 drive and various attachments to reach some of the plugs. You might search on Benzworld.org for more info.
