I own an ML500 2002 model and I was just wondering if it is possible to change the odometer reading. A friend bought a similar model cos he saw mine and though it showed low mileage, we are suspecting it might have been adjusted. Any help to answer will be appreciated.

 

I'm not the one to give you a difinitive answer, however where there is a will there is a way. My first thought would be to check CarFax and see if milege numbers jive with what you have on the car. Also, your friend should be asking for maintaince records, or at least that is a good idea, and that should give a good indication. I believe it is harder to doctor the odometer nowadays and the fines are stiffer, but there is probably a way if one is determined.
