Driver side window will not close. It will power down but not up.

Where do I start?

The switch is bad, I had the same thing happen to me last winter. The contacts on the switch are pushed down and wont make contact. I googled the window switch repair it told me stepby step what to do. That switch contains all four window switches so its pretty expensive (250.00)

The following link is Rodneys DIY on window fixes.
I've done it myself and it's farely simple:

Hello,
I am having a problem with the switches. I followed the directions you put out but; I am having a problem getting the black plastis switch covers for the rear window defrost and the door locks. When I put them back on they do not move enough to activate the mechanisms under them. They will only go on one way so it is not like I am putting themon backwards. Any thoughts? Thank you.
