2010 ML350 electric shift noise druring driving
Hi, I have a 2010 ML350 with 1000 miles on it. The car has electric shift. When you do the shifting, you can hear a clicking noise from the gearbox, which is normal noise, I guess. but this noise should not happen when you already begin driving the car.
The problem of my car is, when I just begin driving the car, the speed is just about 20 miles, I can hear a clear clicking noise from the gearbox, same as the noise when you shifting the electric shift. the noise last about 1 second. after that the noise not happen again. I had a 08 Ml350 before, never had the problem. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

the technision drive with me, he hear the noise too, but he insist its not from the gearbox and he doesn't know where it is from and what it is. He said they will find out.
ISM motor checking itself upon 2-3 shift. They road test another 2010Ml350 with 20 miles hear the same noise. Conclusion is the noise is normal. Its come from the shift.
To me, I don't feel the sound is normal at all. feels like something is wrong with the electric shift connecting with the gearbox.
