Even if there is a passenger in the passenger side that can safely use the Navigation, the car will not let you program a destination until the car is stopped. Hopefully, that crappy feature can be over-ridden. If not, I may go a so far to say I regret getting the car. There is also a DVD player that plays videos on the main screen. That is also disabled unless the car is in park which blocks even the passenger from being able to use the feature.

 

Are you in the UK, if so that would explain the not being able to watch a DVD while moving bit, as I think I am right in saying that in the UK it is against the law to sell a car tv/dvd player which the driver can see while the car is actually moving.

So it doesn't matter if it is intended for the passenger, as long as the driver can see it from their seat, it is a no no.

 

This is sad. Big brother has finally won. Next you will have limits on your speed under normal conditions and will pay taxes according to how far you drive... and it will all be done in the name of commerce and tax collection. Be warned... the government cares not how you live... it only wants to control the masses. (as if the masses could afford a nice 2010 E class.) Makes me sick. Good luck.
