i notice that all these lights came on, i called and schedule an appointment with mercedes dealers. they told me that it'll be okay to drive because the suv feel normal. about 30 minutes of driving, all the lights went off; man was i relief. the next day, i went to start the suv, all lights came on again. i don't remember slamming on the brakes for any reason, i just start the suv and the lights came on again. i tried opening/putting in fuel/closing it the fuel cap tightly, but its still the same. one thing i notice is that my fuel meter is pointing the way in the other direction. i am 3 hours away from any mercedes dealer, will it be safe for me to drive; 70-75mph? what seems to be the problem? any advices? thank you in advance.

 

I had the same prob about a year ago and from what I was told by a mb mechanic is the BAS system controls the power delivered to the wheels in a turn so when that light is on thae sensor is telling the computer that the vehicle is in a turn so the power is limited. in my case the sensor was bad and I had it replaced. from what I understand the only problem with not fixing it is that you may have to push harder on the gas than normal, which in turn burns more gas and at the prices we pay here in CA. per gallon it was a no brainer to have it replaced..
