My 1998 ML320 battery went dead when it was -14 degrees after giving it a Jumpstart it would only idle initially and pushing the gas pedal while idling did nothing and caused no change in idle. Now it starts up for about 2 seconds and then dies. It appears the alarm system is going off constantly as well. I cant figure what to do. The system has plenty of fuel pressure. It ran great prior to battery dieing. I have had it in storage for 6 months now with the problem still happening and dont know what to do. With winter soon approaching again i am getting desperate and need some directional assistance what to do
