Have a ML320- 1998, while engine standstill RPM does not go above 4500rpm, and while driving its still the same, the engine behaves strangely, like losing power and no gear shifts after 4500rpm, and then a little ease on the pedal the gears shift and its fine. You could say it does this at kickdown, otherwise its fine.

any ideas or help would be appreciated.
