Need a Luxury SUV that has 4 captians seats
My wife needs a new Luxury SUV that will seat 6 people comfortably. Why is it so hard to find a luxury SUV that has 4 captains chairs and a comfortable 3rd bench seat? Does the Luxury manufactures not understand the importance of loading kids into a SUV without lifting up a seat? We have 3 kids and they all need to be able to get into the vehicle easily and quickly without assistance. Whats the purpose of buying a luxery SUV if loading the kids is a pain in the a**!!!! We have considered the following Vehicles but none seem to fit our needs.
2007 GMC Acadia
- This appears to fit almost all of our needs except brand image
- Mercedes needs to learn a few things from GMC about a user friendly interior.

2008 Buick Enclave
- This vehicle will be avaliable in the spring and will be nicer than the GMC Acadia.
BMW X5
- Good looking SUV but lacks enough room in 3rd row.
Lexus LX 470
- 3rd row seats are a joke. You actually have to remove the seats and hang them on the walls if you want more cargo room.
- Lexus stills installs a cassett radio in this vehicle. Come on Lexus get with the program! I would expect features like this back in the 80's!!!
Volvo XC90
- Nice and safe SUV, but does not offer 2nd row captains seats
Cadillac SRX
- Has many features including power 3rd row seat and 2nd row captians chairs.
- wife does not like cadillac image and the Boxy look.
Cadillac Escalade
- Nice interior look
- We alreay have a Custom Built GMC Yukon XL and love this vehicle. Can't consider this because we don't want another Suburban.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon
- Love the layout, but can't convince wife to drive a wagon
Mercedes-Benz R-Class Wagon
- Love the layout, but can't convince wife to drive a wagon
Audi A6 Midsize Wagon
- Wife did no like the looks of this vehicle

The Mercedes G500 must be out of the question then.Same withChrysler's Aspen. I would push the R-Class personally. It looks more like a minivan/suv crossover than a wagon and it's probably the best choice.

Like someone said, remember the Audi Q7. They have a luxury four-seater option that still includes the 3rd row. The Q7 is about $10K less expensive than the GL if that matters. This was our other consideration before deciding on the 320CDI GL.

The Navigator was recently redesigned. Captain chairs are offered, but I personally wouldn't drive it because I hate American cars. I am actually trying to sell my ML for a G500 or an LX470, not sure which one yet.
