2006 M class SUV

RE: 2006 M class SUV
I hope they got it right. I drove two of the old M class as a service loaner and I simply didn't like it. For 40K plus, you can do a lot better. A buddy of mine is currently looking for a high end SUV (MB, X5, etc.) and told him about my concerns with the MB. I hate for him to get stuck with a "problem child"

I drive an early version ML320 everyday and really like it.
Although my first impressions were that the cornering was pretty funky, but once I got used to the strange body roll, now ... everything is as sweet as !
Very Happy with it.
And as far as pep goes... for as heavy a vehicle as it is, the V6 in it pulls awesome ! Hey all that and I still get pretty decent gas mileage with it.

RE: 2006 M class SUV
Hi!, Newbie here.
I am in the market for the 2006 ML350. I test drove it, it felt it had good power, the fit and finish was great, lots of gadgets that I can play with.
Read in car magazines about the reliability or lack thereof, but also said that MB spent billions in changing this around.
As far as the ride of the old ML, it was a body on frame (truck frame) that's why it rode like a truck. The new one is a unit-body (like a car), so it rides much better.
The question is, has anybody taken delivery of a 2006 ML yet? How do you like it so far?
Thanks!
