Default W124 No Start this morning. Help please

So wife and I went to start the car this morning heading off to church and only thing happened was all the dash lights came on, no clicking noises or such indicating the starter solenoid was attempting to engage the starter. Just to give me an idea if the battery was possibly the culprit, I turned the headlights on and turned the key to start and the headlights did not dim at all. I'm eliminating battery. This is a '95 E320 wagon with 180K miles and original starter (assumed). Any suggestions where I can start this diagnosing I'm destined to do today? Thank you for your help 🙂
Dale

EDIT: I just tried starting it in N and found that it does. So I'm leaning toward the neutral safety switch..

Just to follow up here a couple days later. We have been going on with life as usual and it is starting in Park without fail, save one time. Wife tried to start in Park on Monday when leaving work and it would not. She then put it into Neutral and started right up.

I called my guy at the Euro shop I use and he said unless they could replicate the problem, they could not confidently replace the NSS. He said IF I wanted them to go ahead and replace it then they would. I chose to keep going with it and see if we can squeeze more life out of it🙂
