Trunk won't open

Trunk won't open
Hello, my 2009 E-Class is having a problem with trunk not opening.
Red light on door trunk switch is on, trunk closes with red button on trunk lid itself.
I noticed that the interior dome lights in truck are FLASHING. So trunk does not repond
either with door switch (although red, seems to have power) or with remote key ****.
Only opens with small key. I already checked the BROWN ground wire, it seems to be fine.
I noticed that when I connect and disconnect the brown ground wire, the trunk dome begin flashing
on off for about 30 seconds. Can anyone offer assistance please?
