I failed inspection today because I cannot turn on my high beams by using the turn signal stalk in the normal way by pushing it away from me. If I pull the stalk towards me to temporarily flash the high beams it works so I am pretty sure I need to pull that turn signal assembly from the steering column and either clean it to make that contact work or replace it.

I am looking for any help on removing that turn signal assembly as I have never opened up the steering column before.
