Hello actually its pretty simple. you must remove the overhead control panel, remove the sunroof motor and then pull out cables. install same way. I forgot you must remove the glass from the roof and then undo the cables from the sunroof track. a little hard to explain with just text. you will install the new cables from the sunroof then feed to the sunroof motor.

im not exactly sure on the position but i can find out.look at the new cable so you can identify where the roof needs to be to acess the screws for the cable. i think tilted or the vent position. after you take the glass out you will get a good view of the operation and how to access the cables on both sides. you can mark the old cable when you take out the motor. you will see 2 cables just mark them with white out so you can see how far from the end of the cablesyou are. then mark the new cables. then install them.

Hi Raymond,

That video was very helpfull to me........removing my sunroof. I was wondering if you might know where I can get that YELLOW BUSHING discussed in the video. The bushing is part of the "tilt" mechanism. The dealer told that the bushing does not come w/ the tilt block. I need to purchase that yellow bushing seperately.

Thanks

ahh...i see it now. according the Russian parts diagram site, it does seem to validate that which was said by the dealer, ie not separate part numbered and orderable by itself.

http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb0.asp?TP=1
(bookmark the above link - great info ! if you have Adobe Acrobat, you can save all w210
to your PC for future ref in case the site shuts down)

this is the pic i'm referring to which seems to confirm this....parts 80 and 60. what do you think?
