Can anyone give me directions or advice on removing the my nav screen command unit in my 04 E500? And does anybody knowwhen swapping outcommand units is it just plug and play?I just ordered a european version that plays dvds and mp3's.

 

remove shifter wood around shifter pull from top, open ashtray first then pull off wood. remove torx screws that hold in ashtray pull out ashtray then undo torx for cd changer ( if equipped) must remove fiberoptic connector on bottom of changer and 2 plug connections all side by side,before you can actually pull the changer out. after removal of changer, 2 torx on bottom of comand right at the front bottom going up into the comand,must turn them like 50 revolutions each you will feel the screw stop turning, but the screw isnt actually coming out of the radio so dont expect to pull the screws out.
