Default Command Unit Broken

Hi,
I have a C 320 (2002 Model). The command unit has a short (short circuit) inside it which is causing to eat all the battery when the car is turned off. So every morning i have to give start my car. The cost of new command unit it around $3000. I am sure there is a cheaper way to get this fixed. If anyone had the same problem? plz help.

Thanks,
Harry

c classes are infamos for seat control modules causing a battery draw. So are overhead control panels (dome light section) and a few commands. If you have a phone installed, remove the handset from the cradle when you let the car sit.
How have you come to the conclusion that the command is the draw?
Didn't realize you also asked about no pass seat working. I'd look into the seat control modules.
