I have a 07' C230 with the regular radio, I thought I could live without an actual display screen but now cant stand the LED display that I have. The features thatcame with my car are the logic7 system, MB ipod hookup, the Bluetooth MB interface and Sat Radio. But I would really like to change out my radio with the either the Command or Command Navi system. Is this as simple as buying a Command unit from my MB dealer and than just changing out the decks or is there different harness involved.

If you retrofit the comand system at an authorised Merc dealler then is will cost a fortune and if you retro fit the system by an unauthorised agent then you are risking the warranty becoming void on several electrical systems in your vehicle.

 

I guess it is not as easy as just unplugging the orignal 07 radio and then plugging in the new 07 command radio w/o navi?

I'm not interested in doing this if I have to add or changing harnesses. As far as the price of the Command unit I can get them for fairly cheap, about the price of a higher end aftermarket deck.

My DVD unit for the GPS is acting randomly. Is it possible to change this with a standard PC unit ( with an irregular plastic front panel) ? THKS
