Does anyone know where to find the OBD II port on an E320? I've hunted high and low (passenger and drivers footwells, under the bonnet, under the back seat) and can't find it anywhere. I've got an OBD II lead and software for my laptop but don't know where to connect it!!

 

Sorry forgot to say it's a 1999, do they even have an OBD II connector?

 

It is under the dash just to the right of the hood release. It has a plastic cover that needs to be pulled off.

 

Sorry is it a small plastic cover (about the size of the port) or a big plastic section that is attached to the felt molding under the steering column? It doesn't seem to be obvious I'm afraid. I've checked in the engine fusebox and there's a circlular port not a rectangular one like the OBD II...

 

Where are you located?if in the states it is about above where your left knee would be on the lower leading edge of the underside of the dash,little black door that flips open to reveal the port.

just lean in under the dash and look along that edge you will see it.
