Can anyone provide me with some assistance.

I have a ELM 327 based diagnostic code reader, which works on every car ive come across, including CAN-BUS vehicles.

I have bought a OBD(ISO) port to 38pin adaptor to help read the error codes.

I have a E Class W210 model, year 2000, E220 CDI. bought in europe.

I have tried pins 4, 7 and 15 as K-lines and am still unsuccesfull in reading any codes from the car. i am reading from the 38 pin diagnostic socket in the engine bay.

I would like any help to help me read error codes , or better to help me locate an actual OBDII port for this car.
