welcome welcome to the w124 club.....excellent car....sometimes crazy problems occur with it. the list of what i replaced on 94 e320 thus far (143k miles now)

Water Pump
Thermostat
Battery
Starter
Tensioner
Serpentine Belt
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
Fuel Filter
Front Struts
Tie Rods
Center Linkage/Center Damper
Brakes all around
Re-wired wires to fuel pump relay <--really stupid and annoying to figure out the problem
Various Temperature Sensors
All fuses <--car went beserk wouldnt start..kept beeping at me..apparantly bad fuses will do that

And after all that..thank God...got myself a wonderful car. The nice thing about these is the experience you gain with it diagnosing the problems, and the relative ease to fix some of the things. So good luck with yours.
