CAN ANYONE HELP
I have a 1994 Mercedes E320 W124 series cabriolet. LHD face lift model with air con. I need to replace the center dashair vent unit which is fitted in the dash above the heater controls etc.
The car has no glove compartment but a passenger air bag in the dash on the RHS next to the cnter air vent unit. I have managed to lift the spring securing clips on the LHS of the vent unit and undone the allen screw attached to the wheel and open/close flap. The left hand side of the vent unit pulls out but there is a securing screw fitted between the vent unit and the airbag unit and this screw is inaccessable. Can anyone tell me in detail how I can get to undo this screw to remove the air vent unit. I suspect the air bag has to be removed first to get at the screw but cannot see how to do this.
