B Service - e320 cdi w210 (2001) in UK
Now the car has decided it needs a B service instead of A.
I have rang the dealers for a cost and they have declined. They have said they change the oil etc, and then undertake extensive checks...
Can anyone elaborate? Do they change the diesel filter? Should I get this done before it goes in? The idle is still lumpy, so will they put it on the star machine or will this be an additional £50 to check if an injector is gone?
And how much should it cost - my A service was £190.[/align]
B service figure double.Every other service is a B service and depending on Km they will change cabin filters, more fluids and brakes if indicated by wear. Why not get a list of the services performed on the cdi and do some yourself and have an independent mb shop perform the rest. You need not go to the dealer for any services and an indie shop will charge much less.
I agree with ohlord 100%. I will give you an example. In an issue of Mercedes Enthusiast they talked about theMercedesE Class and servicing it.For the Service B at aindependant shop they charge £350 compaired to a £450 cost at the dealership. Service A was £180 at shop and £280 at dealership.
