Mb not atarting after footbreak repair. Pls help
Dear friends,
I am new owner of s212 from 2011, 220cdi, 125kw. I fixed my rear left wheel footbreak which was hanging (there was quite a lot of corosion). During the repair, the car fell off the original mercedes car jack (crappy) - but I had placed a wheen under the car so it didnt fall on the breaking disc but just few centimeters onto the wheel.
i had to jack the car up with another jack - classical car jack. i have placed it under the axle-holding construction. While i was pumping the jack, the car was quite still - the pumping was deflating the air suspension. Fortunately the jack pushed the car to enough height at the end.
after the fix, i couldnt start the car anymore. When i insert the key, the dashboard lights up. But the steering wheel lock does not unlock. And when i turn the key, nothing happens - no lights on dash, no cranking, nothing.
i thought the battery got discharged (as i had doors and trunk open during the repair) so i charged it. I even connected the charger to the car and set starting mode so it would help the car to start. Unfortunatelly the car does not do anything (i tried both keys).
I checked the fuses, none seems burned.
In the car these components have power:
- lights (when i press opening button on the key and it is dark outside)
- doors open
- trunk opens with pressing the button
- radio and cd player
- blinkers
- seats positioning
please, help with advice where to look at. Could that be a problem in the air suspension? Or the falling off the jack triggered some sensor? Or?
thank you very much.
tomas

Might have jarred the battery connection when it fell off the jack?
Maybe the starter wires at the starter
That power feed from the battery needs checked
Sounds like the ignition switch has about half its power feeds
No dash, no cranking? Check the neutral start switch and did you try to start it in neutral?
