Olord, if you could pardon my ignorance would this resetting work on a 1995 c220?It runs smoothly but seems sluggish unless you really plant your foot hard, which I don't like doing. Yuridog.

95 no,it is not throttle by wire.you may just need a good tune up.

i did it in my 04 E500 ... didn´t notice any change. but thanks anyway.

 

Try it again doors closed radio off leave the key to the on position not running foot to the floor,then with foot still to the floor turn off the key and wait 2 minutes before lifting off the pedal.do not remove the key for two minutes. then you can exit the car.sometimes it takes more then onre try but it will work.

THIS WORKS LIKE A GOOD KICK UP THE ***. I JUST READ THIS TODAY AND WENT OUT AND DID IT.MY 99 E430 ISLIKE A BRAND NEW CAR. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS FIRMER AND THROTTLE RESPONSE IS IMMEDIATE. I KNOW IT DOESN'T GIVE YOU MORE HORSESPOWER, BUT IF SOMEONE TOOK MY CAR AWAY AND SAID THEY PUT IN A BIGGER CHIP OR SOME OTHER SNAKE OIL TREATMENT, I WOULD HAVE BELIEVED THEM BECAUSE I CAN FEEL AN EXTRA 30 HORSEPOWER, SO TO SPEAK. WAKE YOUR V8 E KLASSE UP GUYS.

Will this work with E300 TD Auto 1998?

When I try to accelerate it is sluggish for the first second or two and then has a lot of power. Also I think that it changes geers too quickly - sacrificing performance.

 

Works every time. Do it about once every 2 months or so unless you are always hammering your E. Love this car and will hate to sell it once the career changes. Long story not worth getting into right now. Best Benz I have ever owned.
