Hey

I have a problem with my 230E . The coolant disapers and there are pressior on the system. The enpansion container is emty and the coolant warning lamp lights up. 2 sek later the coolant is blown back into the container and the preisor i so high , that the overpreior walve opens and let a lot og water out.

Any ideers to the problen....waterpump / termostate ?????

sounds like a blown cylinder head gasket to me.

refill the coolant reservoir, do not cap it yet, and run the engine to operating temperature.

look closely if you can see air bubbles coming up from the coolant.

did the engine got overheated before?
