EC mode on the A/C stays on

The E/C mode on the A/C in my 2000 E320 stays on. What does it take to fix this problem? These cars seam to be plagued with electric problems.

please see this

similar problem.

you may need to delete the fault code in order for the a/c to be functional again after repair.
