The E-Class in general I would personally stay away from. But if you have to, go with the 2004 e320. More bugs fixed with less driving.

I have had my 2005 E500 with Sport packagea few months now and put atleast 10K miles on it with no problems whatsoever, it has 47K on it right now, it goes out of warranty at 50K but I purchased a 2yr 75K extended warranty on it but have yet to have a problem, great drive, I did get mine without the NAV in it since I was told this was the real major concern amongst E class owners from 03-06 models, this car has been nothing but a dream but I switch very often, so I am sure I will be out of mine before it hits 75K on the miles!
