ABS, BAS ESP lights and it was probably the brake switch that was bad.
Have you disconnected the battery and reset the system?follow the resync procedure in the manual for after a new battery is installed.Was the key in the ignition when you disconnected the battery?If so you may have upset the rolling key code.No check engine light?
do the battery reset with the key out of the ignition and be sure to step on the brake pedal for a minute to remove all residual charge from the system.
Thry installing the old esp module and installing a new brake switch upgraded part from the dealer......diy on benzworld.org w210 diy section.That way you won't have to go get the system reprogramed by the dealer,the brake switch only costs about 20 bucks and you rule out the esp module as being the cause of the problem.
