Default E430 won't start after replacing ESP control Module

Replaced Electronic Stability Control Module, while doing this I unplugged the cars battery and unplugged all the electronic conectors where the ESP control module is located under the hood. After doing this the car will turn over but it doesn't seem to be firing and will not start. The car is a 99 e430. What did I mess up and how do I fix it? Thanks,

was it starting before you replace the esp?
will it start if you will put back the old esp?
what's the reason you want to replace it?
was it the correct part number?

you have to perform coding/adaptation/programming so the other system can recognize it.

The car was starting and running perfectly before replacing the part
I tried putting the old part back in and it still would not start
Replaced the control module to fix an ABS, BAS ESP light
The part I used to replace the original was the right part #

How do I perform coding/adaptation/programming? I didn't realize I had to do this. Could this be the reason the car won't start? If so why won't it start when I put back the old control module? Thanks for your help.

you might have busted a fuse on the process.

check them including the K4 relay.

replacing control units means you have to read and transfer coding. this is done by using a diagnostic computer (HHT or star diagnosis). this is not the reason why the car cannot start. it can only cause some malfunction.

checked all fuses under the hood, they are all in order. Is there a way to test the k4 relay. I'm guessing its the black cube looking part. Also do I need to check fuses under the rear seat as well. Thanks

I have checked every fuse on the car and everything checks out. However the car still won't start. It does sound as if the fuel pump engages when I turn the key to the 2nd position. What could I be missing? Could something I did be keeping power from making it to the spark plugs? Thanks in advance for any help.

you must have done something wrong indeed.

check if it got sparks.
check if it injects fuel.

I have been able to verify that my k4 relay is ok and that the fuel pump is working. However there is no spark coming from the spark plugs. What could have happened to make this occur? Does someone have a wiring diagram that could show me all the possible problem areas?
Thanks,
