problem- When in 'd' or 'r' my car tries to lunge forword when im at a junction or traffic lights etc....
i can feel the pressure building up when i have my foot on the brake when waiting.
merc have have done a diog check and all seems fine, bt they cant b sure until the open it up, but as we all kno that can be very expensive.
in general it drives fine, fully serviced, and has 99k miles on the clock.
automatic transmission.
if anyone has experienced similar problems could u plz e-mail me, do i need a new gear box? how much? how long should it last?
thank you.

Sure there are no codes?
Is Idle speed correct?
Please define "Lunge". i.e. Continuously trying to creep forward whilst stationary or an unexpected increase in engine speed and as a consequence a desire to override the brakes?
Trying to separate engine vstransmission problem.
