Default car shuts down on cold weather

<FONT face=Arial size=1>i own a 300 e 1991 benz with 300,000 km.</FONT></P>


<FONT face=Arial size=1> I live in montreal canada and at winter it gets pretty cold here .</FONT></P>


<FONT face=Arial size=1> my problen is that when the temperture gets below 20 degrees celsius</FONT></P>


<FONT face=Arial size=1>and colder i start my car with no problem as it warms up the idle</FONT></P>


<FONT face=Arial size=1>will start going up and down for a while and then it will settel.</FONT></P>


<FONT face=Arial size=1>I'll leave with the car after a few miles driving on the highway </FONT></P>


<FONT face=Arial size=1>at a normal speed, the firststop that i'll do, my car will </FONT></P>


<FONT face=Arial size=1>shut down and there is no way i get it to start again even though it cranks</FONT></P>


<FONT face=Arial size=1>I'll wait 20 minutes and retry to start it and it will start again this happens only at extreme cold weather</FONT><IMG src=smileys/smiley19.gif border="0"></P>


what couldcause that.</P>


this is what i think....tell me if i'm right or wrong</P>


could it be a coil malfunction and cuts off spark</P>


gaz pump relay </P>


the idle control valve box</P>


a sensor</P>
