Beware cheap brakes and rotors!!!
I just had my rear rotors and brakes replaced to the tune of $350. This is after I spent over $700 on having all of my rotors and brakes replaced... I didn't know at the time that the discount joint that did the original job was using generic rotors and pads... what a miserable experience. I have been dealing with squeaky brakes ever since. Last week it got too much to bear. I had OEM rear rotors and pads installed and it has made a tremendous difference. Now I can sort of hear my front brakes squeak but it's nothing like what my rear brakes were doing. Lesson learned... pay the money up front to a reputable mechanic and insist on Mercedes pads and rotors. I will never use imitation parts again. [:@]
Would you recomend the same for 2000 c280 with squeaky breaks? The squeakinggoes away when the brakes are wet like when I take it to a car wash and power wash the breaks there is no squeaking untill it dries up.
