hello raylee brake dust can not affect brake switch cause it's located above brake pedal under dash, you must be referring to brake sensor mounted on each brake roter area...note i had same problem two weeks ago all I did was disconnect ABS wire harness from ABS hydraulic solenoid and reconnect apparently bad connection was my problem.ps look into that simple fix...
