Default '99ml430 beep and blinking

Hello everyone,

I have a '99 ml430. This evening as I was driving home, I heard a beep. I thought it was my phone, but after checking my phone I reallized it wasn't the phone. I odometer wqas flashing "-2.0L".

Does anyone have any diea what this means? Is it serious? After a glance at the water temp level, I decided it was OK to continue home, which was another 4-5 miles. I drove it home, it is dark, so I'll check oil level and check for any leaks and such tomorow.

Thank you all in advance for any info.

Two liters (quarts) short on motor oil level. Check with dipstick to make sure you have enough oil in your engine. If it is OK, your oil level sensor is bad. Regards, Bernard

oil leaks come from the filler neck, also the valve cover gaskets and also the small square oil pressure access area under the oil filter assembly area. square/rectangle about 1 in by 1.5 inches they leak alot too.
