Default 1999 CLK 320 Convertible, Roof stopped halfway and red button blinking?

I recently bought a 1999 clk 320 convertible and the roof jus died on me as i was takin it down. it died as it was all in the trunk and the last flap thats folds down to cover it up is sitting still up. I cant move the top at all in fact all that happens is the button for retracting the roof blinks red. anyone????

Sounds like a faulty sensor somewhere, probably in the boot (trunk). Have you tried unclipping the luggage protector and then re-attaching it?

Also, try removing the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting it. This will reset everything, but you'll have to then enter your radio PIN, reset the windows, have the adaptive throttle learn your driving style etc., etc...

(Gee, I wish CLKs had a RESET or Cltr-Alt-Delete button on the dash )

Duh... I meant "removing the battery CONNECTIONS" - there's no need to remove the battery itself...
