I had the sun/moonroof open and it wouldn't close by the indoor switch or the remote. It started when I had the popup popped up, and it wouldn't close. Then the slide wouldn't close either. I managed to close it with the manual crank. It seems to open, but not close, so the motor appears OK. I suspect lubrication is needed? How do I do it?

 

I have the same problem, but mine won't open. Resync does not work for me. When you try yours in all directions can you hears a soft click when you move the switch even it is already in that position ? Like on mine, it closes and when fully closed and I move the switch as to close it again I hear a soft click at the motor, so I know the switch is sending a signal to the motor. It also does that in pop up and down, but not to open. I am at a loss if it is the switch or not. I tried to test the switch but I think it uses a digital signal, so it's hard to say. Try syncing yours if you haven't already, pop the sun roof up and continue to push the switch up until after you hear the motor click. Then it should work normal, unless it's like mine.
