Default 91 300TE cold starting

First time poster. I'm pretty desperate. My 1991 300TE will not start when its cold, not frigid, just cold, ie. less than 40F. It cranks and cranks and cranks, sometimes eventually starting. Two independent MB mechanics, Strictly Mercedes and Ravelli Motors, have tried a variety of fixes (new plugs, rotor, wires, fuel mixture), and the fixes have worked somewhat for a varying period. But even after the fixes it still started much rougher than it has in previous winters. And then eventually it fails to start at all.

Onthat car it's hard to say without looking it over. Having said that, the cold start enrichment injector is the first thing that comes to mind.
