Default '91 190e - Running with High RPMs

I recently bought my first Baby Benz - I love her but noticed that the engine RPMs seem to be really fast when the car is in neutral or park (between 25-30) also she will travel about 35 mph without me having to press on the gas at all. Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks

I am fairly new to MBs but I'll try. I would look at / clean the ICV. Also look the the throttle. Make sure it is closing fully. There is too much idle air getting into the engine which would normally prompt me to suggest a leak around the intake manifold but you did not say it was running rough so I am guessing that all the air is being accounted for by the air flow meter.
