Default 3rd Row Seat E280 CDI - Safety Age?

My husband and I are thinking about buying a E class station wagon (280 CDI). Ironically, we are planning to do this in Germany since we now live abroad. What I want to find out is what do the American Owner Manuals say about appropriate age for these seats? I know I can not use our daughters car seats in that row since Britax says not to install / use them in a rear facing seat nor a side-facing seat. I have a two year old and a four year old. The third row seat is small and meant for children. The 3 point seat belt is low and seems like a child is secure back there and a booster would not be necessary since the seat is low and head rest lies low. However, what is the minimum age / weight / and height for these seats? Does anyone know? I appreciate any info. Having a third row to seat the kids would be beneficial in terms of allowing us to drive with visitors (+5 passengers)

We have had 5-17 year olds back there, never have seen a published standard.Kids love it,and if you ever see a pic of some guy that had been hit in his wagon it is built to really take a big hit and not crumple into the cargo/jump seat area.
