Transmission "bucks"
Hello everybody,
I have a 2003 E320 (48K miles), and it has a strange problem. On two occasions in the last few weeks, at slow speeds (just starting off) the transmission will "BUCK". It definitely feels more like "engine bucking" vs "brakes grabbing".
I don't know if it's related, but it had been parked, with the engine on, for 5-10 minutes prior to the problem occuring. I am not getting a check engine light or any malfunction alert.
It lasts 3-4 seconds, and then goes away.
I just got the car a month ago, from a reputable, local dealer. I also purchased an extended warranty (just in case!!)
Has anybody else encountered this problem?
THANKS, in advance, for any advice.
Mark

RE: Transmission "bucks"
A.there are no reputable dealers.
B.Something is wrong and needs to be addressed now, unfortunately by the above referenced A.
C.Either in the engine, which should throw a code,or in the transmission which should also throw a code ,it is time to take it back and have them fix it before it leads to more problems that you will be paying for down the road well after the so called reputable dealers extended warranty runs out.
Wait till they hit you for a brake job refer to section A. above
